Monsters:
Zombimorphs:
Zombies, officially called ‘Zombimorphs’ by the USCM, are the results of the strange disease that plagues this war-torn planet. They come from the carriers of the disease upon death, becoming, faster, stronger, meaner, and more resilient. Once becoming a Zombimorphs, certain species can go up to three times the normal length of time without water or food, and can generally run for four times the normal length of time. Many grow claws, spines, or elongated teeth, and odd natural weapons are further augmented and increased in both size and potency by the disease. They lose all sense of honor, emotion, or drive but that of their basic instincts, and have a level of ferocity 1000’s of times above that of their normal type. Their skin grows more resistant to slashing, piercing, bullet fire, bruising, and flame, as well as insulating the body. The skin itself grows a black color, with red hues, and is covered in a thin layer of non-flammable oils that give it a glistening appearance. In this way, they can look quite a bit like a Xenomorph born from a canine such as a dog or wolf. Here are the different forms of Zombimorphs:
Canine Zombimorph:
Dogs are common creatures on Nex Mons Mortis. While personal pets are not allowed on the military planet, they are often brought as a first warning system against imminent attack and a robot-detection system that can hear the tiny sounds made as the metal plates of the robots rub against each other. When they die, they become some of the most ferocious beasts known to man. They lose large patches of hair, the hair they have becoming tangled and matted, and their skin grows the reddish-black of a Zombimorph. Their claws grow sharper and more curved, as well as slightly longer, and they thin out to become perfectly proportioned, if a little skinny. Their teeth grow translucent clear, and their eyes glow an acidic green color. All of the fur becomes black, and their tails grow thicker hair, in contrast with the rest of them, which becomes black and red. The top ridge of each of their spinal bones grows a 1” spike, which curves backward from the reddish-black, fleshy base to become pitch black for the main body, before becoming a tannish-yellow at the tip. These creatures are known pack-hunters, and are generally found in groups of 5 or more. Their hide can resist knives, but not automatic bullet fire, and not any shot from a non-automatic weapon of 15mm or more. They are partially resistant to flame, but a Red Dragon can still take them down.
Human Zombimorph:
When a human dies while infected, they undergo one of the most horrible transformations of any Zombimorph. They sprout spines along the bottom ridge of their forearms and the back meat of their shins, each of which extends about three inches outward. Their teeth become pointed and sharp, and grow metallic, with a coppery hue. The nails grow to one and a half inches in length, and become razor sharp, being only slightly curved. They even grow a thin tail, approximately an inch and a quarter in width and about 4 feet long, which ends with a bony, pale yellow, razor sharp point. Their skin is more reddish than other Zombimorphs, just a little darker than meat, and their heads lose all hair. The eyes become completely black, and the nose flattens to the face, becoming not more than two slits on the nostrils. The muscles grow and lengthen, increasing the length of the arms to about the length of the legs, so that the arms extend to be on level with two-thirds of the shin from the foot. The nails extend farther, allowing for an extraordinary reach. Zombimorphs from humans also have a more sloping head, and along the spine grow spikes similar that of a Canine Zombimorph, but four inches in length instead of one. These creature’s hides are resistant to knives, and limitedly resistant to automatic bullet fire. They are also almost completely immune to red flame, though a Blue Dragon will still take one down. They can take a shot from a non-automatic weapon of 15mm or less, but 15+ is still above and beyond their immunities. Zombimorphs from humans are also, frighteningly, the most common Zombimorphs on Nex Mons Mortis.
Yautjan Zombimorph:
A very terrifying Zombimorph indeed, the Yautjan Zombimorph is a feared combatant. Most do not remember how to use the technology of the Yautja, but most have also learned how to use wristblades and mauls. They are ferocious combatants that attack creatures on sight. Yautjan Zombimorphs have elongated tusks, teeth, and spines, much like an elder, as well as having no dreadlocks. Their skin turns completely black and shiny, instead of normal reddish-black hue, and the claws on their hands extend out to be two inches in length. Their spines grow two inch spikes of the same type as the dogs, and their eyes glow blood-red. The teeth and claws of the Yautja are translucent, while the tusks are red at the base, black in the middle, and have translucent tips. These creatures are some of the most feared on Nex Mons Mortis for having strength, agility, and reflexes surp(censored)ing that of a Yautja, as well as a ferociousness that leads them to kill anything that moves. Yautjan Zombimorphs are resistant to knives, fire from automatic weapons of 15mm or less, or fire from non-automatic weapons of 30mm or less. They are also almost completely immune to fire, needing a Blue Dragon’s flame to even burn them, and the White Dragon incinerator is the preferred weapon for incinerator-users attacking these creatures. These creatures are immune to the Lightning Gun.
Egg Zombimorph:
In the majority of raids upon hives, eggs are killed in the process of the charge. They are living beings like any other, and they become very potent after death. The egg turns black as night, with the reddish hue appearing only around the lips. The roots that are occasionally seen on the bottoms grow far longer and thicker, taking on a purplish-black color, and a few roots even grow to the sides. These eggs can trip and strangle would-be attackers with these roots, and hold them down for the horrors within… Egg Zombimorphs are resistant to non-automatic fire of about 10mm or less, and that’s pretty much it.
Facehugger Zombimorph:
A horror that could make even a Yautjan Blooded Warrior’s eyes widen in fear and a squad of marines stop in their tracks is the Facehugger Zombimorph. Black and patterned like the hive walls, these creatures serve the same purpose as the Facehuggers they used to be, but with one fundamental difference. They will kill any creature’s who interfere with the impregnation process of the host. They have large, black spines instead of bottom segments on their completely black legs, and their tail has far more segmenting, more like the adult’s tail, with a tiny, razor-sharp spine on the tip. The creature can still harmlessly wrap around the host’s face, but its tail is also twice as long as the previous Facehugger’s, allowing it to whip its attacker with it while remaining attached to the host. The tail’s sharp edge cuts clean through most armor, including a Yautjan mask or the armor of the marines, and is barbed with tiny spines that break off when the spike is removed, and are instantly replaced with new barbs, allowing for hundreds of tiny pieces of razor sharp silicon to be stuck in a host, preventing most wounds from healing. The Facehugger Zombimorph is resistant to non-automatic fire of 10mm or less, knives, and fire from a Red Dragon.
Chestburster Zombimorph:
The baby xenomorph, a parasitic life form of horrifying deadliness, is improved 10 fold with the disease. Its spine has a row of spikes along it, ½” in length, and its tail it tipped with a razor-bladed point that can be retracted in. Its head comes back to a point instead of being rounded, and unlike the natural Chestbursters, these creatures are pitch black in color. Their teeth are in the correct proportions upon birth, being about a half inch in length each, and each of the teeth is a steely metal color. The 1/3” claws are also this color, while the back feet are not fully developed yet. This creature is capable of defending itself more adequately in combat than the average Chestburster, but will still flee given the chance. Its tongue attack is also fully developed upon birth, allowing it to quickly kill prey and grow. The prey it generally eats include rats, mice, small cats, small dogs, and the occasional hand or foot. Chestburster Zombimorphs are resistant to 15mm non-automatic fire, fire from a Red Dragon, and knives.
Drone Xenozomorph:
The official name of an adult Zombimorphic Xenomorph is a Xenozomorph, and they are some of the most feared and destructive creatures known to the universe. A Xenozomorph can be made by impregnation of a normal host by a Zombimorph Facehugger, impregnation of a Zombimorph host by a normal Facehugger, a combination of those two, or the killing of the original alien in a means that does not destroy the brain. Even a drone is capable of taking down a fully grown Yautja single-handedly. The drone is of the ridge headed look, with inch long spines extending from the top of every ridge. The teeth on it are translucent, and it is a reddish-black color. Xenozomorphic drones have many special features to differentiate themselves from the drones they used to be. The teeth are one and a half times the normal size, and the jaw drops down to a 90 degree angle instead of the normal 75 or so to accommodate this large tooth size. The tongue is twice the length of the original, and at its end the teeth are each about an inch in length. The Xenozomorphs’ tails are about 1 and a half times the length of the body, and instead of fins at the top, near the spike, they have foot long, razor-sharp spines that can cut a tree in half. The tail spike itself is a good two feet in length, but the same thinness as the original spike, giving it a more sword-like look. The Xenozomorph drone has claws that are each 3 inches in length, and has the powerful ability to spit acid up to 30 feet, in a glob. The drones of a Xenozomorph hive are the first line of defense, and they generally do their job admirably. Each of these horrible creatures is resistant to automatic fire of 15mm or less, and non-automatic fire generally can’t punch through their hides in less than 6 rounds, when it is 25mm or so. Fire from a Blue Dragon can burn them, but their hides are completely resistant to knives, and even if they weren’t, you’d be dead before you could reach them with one.
Warrior Xenozomorph:
The Warrior Xenomorph is the second line of defense for most hives, and they are some of the toughest creatures known to sentient kind. Their heads are of the smooth-headed design, but with three rows of sharp spikes protruding from the head, one on either side, and one on the top ridge. Their teeth are a good 3 inches in length, each of them a metallic color and tapering to a horribly sharp point. The Xenozomorph Warriors have a row of sharp spikes down their spines, and on each side of this there are 6 protuberances that are each razor-sharp spikes in their own right. Each of their tails is 14 feet in length, ending with a two and a half foot spike, and the ribs on the back of the tail by the spike are replaced by two foot, slashing spines. Each of these creatures has a set of 5” claws. Xenozomorph Warrior’s tongues have inch and a half, sharp spikes for teeth, and are 3 times the length of a normal Xenomorphic tongue. Within this tongue is yet another, 6 inch long tongue that is tipped with an inner jaw with quarter inch long spines, allowing for a good three and a half foot reach with the inner jaw. This Xenozomorph is lightning quick, and can even dodge the flames of a flamethrower before the flames can extend 10 feet. This Xenozomorph is resistant to automatic fire of 25mm or less, and non-automatic fire can’t punch through with a 25mm round in less than 12 rounds of ammunition. A Blue Dragon incinerator is needed to burn them. Knives may actually bend or break on their hides.
Praetorian Xenozomorph:
The tough creatures known as Praetorian Xenomorphs are the feared, elite warriors of a normal hive. They have every feature needed to defend a hive against most threats. But even they fear the deadly Praetorian Xenozomorph. These creature’s heads are of the same shape as a normal queen’s, albeit more sharply pointed and with the tiny row of spines extending to the three points of the crown being noticeably longer, and at the mouths is a set of 6 inch long teeth. Each of these creatures stands 10 feet at the top of the head when the crown is parallel to the ground, and 11 feet when it is upright. Its tongue is 5 feet in length, with no inner jaw, and 3 inch spikes for teeth on this tongue. The creature’s arms are each 4 ½ feet in length, and each of the long, bony fingers is tipped with 6 inch claws. The 6 spines on the creatures back are elongated to each be 3 and a half feet in length, and down the spine is a row of 6 inch spikes. The Praetorian also has a 25 foot long tail that ends in a 3 foot spike, which is surrounded with backward facing, stiff, razor-sharp spines. If this tail penetrates a creature, it won’t come out without taking an organ with it. The Praetorian Xenozomorphs are blackish red in color. These creatures’s hides are resistant to automatic fire of 35mm or less, and can take a 35mm slug without feeling a thing. They are the last line of defense next to the Queen in a human-rich area, and are therefore incredibly powerful. They can even take a Blue Dragon without being burnt, though the White Dragon will almost surely kill them.
Queen Xenozomorph:
These creatures are rare, and with very good reason. They are the absolute most dangerous and powerful thing on the planet, and could easily kill an entire squad of elite, well armed marines. They are 45 feet in height with the crest parallel to the ground, and look in all ways like the Praetorian, or rather, the Praetorian looks like them. All of their weapons are scaled up, but in the same proportions as the Praetorians. Each of these beasts can create an egg sac, which is pure black in color and lays Zombimorphic eggs. The Queen Xenozomorphs live deep within Xenozomorph hives, well away from most threats, and anything that makes it to them will only do so once heavily injured, beaten, and with 100’s of the most potent creatures in the galaxy hot on its tail. The Queen is almost completely immune to fire of any weapon but the White Dragon, the Lightning Gun, the M83A2 SADAR, and the 60mm M99A76-B. These creatures are the matriarchs of entire hives, and are nearly impossible to kill, except with luck and good fortune.
Predalien Xenozomorph:
Ferocious and powerful, this is the Zombimorphic equivalent of a Predalien, the most feared Xenomorph, apart from the Queen, in the universe. This creature’s reddish black hide looks in all ways like shape like that of a normal Predalien, except that the Dreadlocks are missing, and in place are foot and a half long, razor-sharp spines protruding from the bottom of the crest, smooth as its clear teeth. Each of its black tusks is 4 inches in length, and its tongue is 4 feet long, complementing its 9 and a half foot stature. The spikes on the tongue are each an inch and a half in length, and completely metallic, with a bronze hue. Predalien Xenozomorphs have 2 foot spines on their backs where the normal protuberances would be, as well as having spikes protruding from the spine of 4 inches in length. The Predalien Xenomorph has the longest tail of all, extending outward to 30 feet from the base, with a 3 and a half foot, razor sharp, thin spine about 4 inches in width. Three rows of backwards spines around the base of the tail-spike make it a ferocious and mortal weapon to be reckoned with. This creature can force 5 chestburster embryos down a host’s throat, instead of the normal 4 possible for a Predalien. Predalien Xenozomorphs have 6 inch claws, and spikes running down their forearms, much like a human Xenozomorph, except each of these is 8 inches in length, with the ones on the back of its shins being 7 inches long. Predalien Xenozomorphs are resistant to 45mm or higher automatic fire, and nearly immune to non-automatic fire. Knives, small arms, and other things of that nature do almost no damage, and even a White Dragon can’t burn a Xenozomorphic Predalien. This Xenozomorph is also immune to the Lightning Gun.
Robots:
The robotic creatures created by man on Nex Mons Mortis are the entire same model by now, so the Robot section will be noticeably short here.
M-109 Stealthbot:
The M-109 ‘Stealthbot’ was the premiere in robotic fighting technology. It was stronger, faster, more agile, and more capable of outwitting foes and serving humans than any previous war robot. It could do everything, until the day it crashed. Now it is one of the greatest threats to human-kind. Each robot is 12 feet tall, thinly built, with a head shaped like an upside-down bowl on the top, with pistons working to move it on its neck. Its entire body is made of hundreds of thousands of tiny, moving parts that can reconfigure to hold any weapon or piece of armor. The body looks like a smooth surface, but when it reconfigures to hold something new, the many lines on its surface become visible, before disappearing once again. The only portion of it not made of these tiny pieces is the head and neck, which is composed of a thick, metal, bowl-shaped top with two red, glowing, circular eyes capable of seeing in the infrared, electromagnetic, and ultraviolet, as well as visible, spectrums. The pistons that control the movement of this are attached to a revolving plate, allowing for the head to turn 360 degrees and move itself accordingly. The robots can reconfigure their bodies into virtually any shape, including things with moving parts such as guns and other things, and can lock their pieces to become what amounts to basically solid metal. The only other part of them not made of these moving parts is a 3 foot by 3 foot, metal scanner that it uses to scan and analyze new pieces of technology. M-109’s are resistant to almost all rifle fire, and to even make a dent requires a 15 mm explosive round, non-automatic, or any explosive automatic round. To actually do some damage usually means 20mm explosive round or 15mm explosive, and a Blue Dragon or Thermite-packed round will generally melt a few pieces, making an unhealable wound for the Stealthbot. The Lightning Gun will instantly destroy a Stealthbot, as it uses electrical circuits that can be overloaded with the power of the direct, superheated lightning blast. Plus, you know, intense heats from the bolt melt almost all of the metal so that it can’t move.
